One doodle per week adds up to 52 for the year. Not too ambitious a goal for my first attempt at having a fixed schedule for drawing while staying within certain thematic and content boundaries. It’s the first year that I told myself, “you must draw every week, no matter how simple or silly” and proved to myself that I would stick to it by posting the doodles online. More importantly, it’s fun!
Maybe in 2010 it will be one doodle per day. We’ll see how fun that might be. But for now, I’ve started compiling the 2009 doodles into a collection that I will make available as a paperback book at the beginning of the new year. Proceeds will benefit a charity that gives children art supplies and art classes.

Well, I uploaded the last doodle of the year today. Exciting.
The book is coming along nicely. I’ve compiled the doodles up through about May. Boy, I should have been building the book as I was posting. I would be done by now.
No matter. It’s going to be done in a couple weeks and published soon after that.
Whew!

The book is in review!
First up: an affordable black and white version. Reasonably priced for these trying economic times.
Soon to follow: the full color version. It will probably be released two or three weeks after the black and white version. Unfortunately, due to the cost of color ink and magic paper made just for color ink, this version will cost considerably more, and probably only purchased by a select few.
